I'm Scott - a passionate, story-driven cinematographer. I began my journey under the mentorship of acclaimed cinematographer Tim Cragg (Three Identical Strangers, Wilding, Beckham), where I trained as a camera assistant on award-winning documentaries and Emmy-recognised series.

Since then, I’ve stepped behind the lens as DoP, shooting documentaries for Channel 4 and working across a mix of low-budget fiction and observational non-fiction. My visual approach is always story-first: flexible, intentional, and rooted in close collaboration with the director. Every frame, every light source, every movement - planned with purpose to support the emotional arc of the film.

Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of shadowing various members of the British Society of Cinematographers. From them, I’ve learned the art of leading a department with calm precision, and the critical role of pre-production in shaping creative success.

Whether I’m working with a skeleton crew or on a more developed production, I’m experienced in building lean, creative setups that respond to the real-world pressures of location shooting. I regularly shoot on the Arri Alexa Mini LF, Sony Venice and Sony FX6 - placing a lot of emphasis on lens choice. I work closely with a local rental house to access a broad range of modern and vintage glass, always matching tools to tone.

I’m always open to connecting with directors - emerging or established - and I love finding new ways to tell great stories. If you're working on something, drop me a line.
